Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any Gluten Free, Dairy-Free, or Vegan?

Our menu is limited due to the small size of our micro-bakery, but we do try to have 2-3 gluten free options each day. Please note that we are not a gluten-free facility and cross contamination can happen. We’re not currently offering items specifically dairy-free or vegan.

Can I make a reservation?

No. We are a first-come, first-served bakery. Please manage your expectations if you’re arriving with a large group. We have a micro-size kitchen and one espresso machine that can only handle so much at a time. Large groups are overwhelming to any business, but especially a small one.

Do you have a different menu?

Surprisingly, we get this question a lot. We’re trying to understand why it’s so common as we wouldn’t walk into a food service place, view their menu, and then ask them if they have a different one. We’ve heard of some chains having a secret menu, but we do not. We are a small micro-bakery with a very small kitchen that has limited capabilities. We prioritize our baked pastries first but do offer a very limited monthly menu of savory options. That menu is themed based on the month and available here on our site for you to view before visiting.

Can I bring my pet inside?

No. We kindly ask that you not bring any pets inside unless they are a service animal trained specifically for your disability. Comfort and/or emotional support animals are not service animals and not recognized by the ADA. We absolutely love furbabies, but our kitchen is public-facing and the risk of pet hair getting into our products is too high.

Why are you closed mid-week?

We’re open to the public 48hrs a week, plus spend an additional 4hrs a day baking each day we’re open. We’re a small, family-owned and operated place, and we need days off to rest. The owner also has two full-time jobs and is currently working about 80-90hrs a week between the two. In the future, we plan to expand our hours.

Can I make a custom order or pre-order something for pickup?

Not at this time. We’re still very new and trying to see what our normal operations will look like before we consider taking custom order requests. For now, our bakery is first-come, first-served.

Will you donate to our charity?

We are tapped out for 2025 already. Please wait until 2026 to request donations and we will consider it then, but will have a yearly cap on what we can donate. We’re a small business and still very much in debt from building the bakery.

Does the plant wall attract pests?

Yes, it can. Most houseplants and gardens do, but we contract with a local pest control service to reduce pest issues, and we also inspect the plant wall weekly. You may see an ant in here. Please be understanding that the ant issue is much larger than the bakery can control. Ants are widespread for several blocks and our fellow business owners are also dealing with them the best they can.

Do you use any box mixes?

Yes, we do for some recipes. All of our gluten-free items are currently box mixes to reduce cross contamination in our small micro-bakery that has lots of gluten around. We also love the Ghirardelli brand and use their brownie mixes sometimes. Our puff pastry comes from a restaurant supply store, too.

How come some sandwiches or pastries are bigger than others?

We scratch make most items at the bakery. Though we try to be as consistent as possible, some things bake bigger or smaller at times. Our sourdough takes 2-3 days to make and is shaped into boules (large round ball-shapes). We slice it by hand and it’s impossible for every slice to be the same exact size. When the bread sizes get smaller, we add more filling to make up for it. All of our sandwiches are kept in a glass display case visible to you so you can see what you are getting before buying. Please view these prior to purchase so you can ensure you’re getting what you expect.

I didn’t like what I ordered, what are my options?

We ask that you let us know in the moment so we have the opportunity to make it right for you, whether it be a refund or replacement. We’re a brand-new small business and we make mistakes, but not giving us an opportunity to fix it before you write bad reviews isn’t fair to us either. We need time to adjust to the overwhelming amount of customers we’ve attracted, and grace to be humans who mess up sometimes. Your reviews can cause significant harm to any business, but especially a small one without all the resources big corporations have.

When I ask for a product or service you don’t offer or are out of stock on, can I be rude to your staff?

No, you may not. Please be kind. There’s nothing in the bakery worth being mean about. Even if it’s a product or service we do offer, please do not be mean to our staff. Some of our staff are just kids and this is their first job. Please be considerate of the impact you leave on others, especially kids.
